Childhood and Schooling in (Post)Socialist Societies: Memories of Everyday Life

1st of March, 2018, 2-4 pm,
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin / Humbolt University of Berlin
Unter den Linden 6, room 3071
(Main Building / Hauptgebäude)

Almost 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, people of different generations still wrestle with the legacy of (post)socialism. Many feel that their lived experiences were not reflected in the dominant narratives of historical socialism and post-socialist transformations.

Join us to discuss the book and these questions:

•How to “think with” memories as part of an intellectual project of decolonizing knowledge production in and about socialist and (post)socialist societies of Eastern and Central Europe?

•Can rewriting the past open new trajectories for the future in (post)socialist societies?
