One of the international visitors with whom he worked in the United States was a Romanian jazz composer and pianist. He remembers his visit to their home, and a trip to their local grocery store. The visitor viewed the fresh and abundant produce with tears streaming down his face.  He was unable to give his host a copy of his latest album, because the state had permitted him (the artist) to have only three.
