Growing up in the 90's Brazil the pink color was a must to young girls. For instance, there was one rubber shoe that she wanted to have. There were some options of color, but the ones she really remembers surely are a solid "baby" type of pink, and a transparent almost red pink. The baby pink received was the main focus of advertisement, but she liked the red-ish better. Her mother went to some shops trying to get the option she liked, but all shops had the same color for her size. In the end her mother got tired of searching and bought her the option available. She was certainly happy about getting something new, and somehow special, but she was not happy with the idea that some friend of hers would have the same color (for it was the most popular one).
